In developing its Better Bills guideline, CPRC encourages the AER to consider simplifying and standardising location of key information on bills to make them more navigable for consumers. We provide insights from Victoria on the introduction of a Best Available Offer type notification on the bill and encourage the AER to consider minimum information requirements for information delivered via email. We welcome the AER’s behavioural testing approach in developing the Better Bills guidelines and suggest options for addressing “voltage drop”
